November 18th, 2024 Update:

​

        The Tanana River currently has a large sheet of ice forming in the center of the river near where the Tripod will be placed in the Spring. There is some free flowing water on the furthest river bank around the main ice sheet formations. Much of the anchor ice is currently in place.

 

We will begin measuring the ice when it is safe to travel on towards the middle or end of January.
